ホッキョクグマ禁輸案を否決＝米国主張通らず−ワシントン条約会議…2010-03-18
マグロの話題で日本列島が沸いていた裏で（お寿司屋さんよかったね！）、
アメリカが提案していたホッキョクグマ国際取引禁止案は否決。
カナダ、ノルウェー、デンマークなどが「しろくまは絶滅の危機なんかじゃないよ」と反対。
投票の結果は賛成48、反対62、棄権11。
以前も取り上げましたが、日本は最大の毛皮輸入国とされているんですよねー。
剥製や毛皮を集めたい気持ちが私にはわからないんですが、
今ちょうど上野の科学博物館で
「大哺乳類展　陸のなかまたち」が開催されています。6月13日（日）まで。
でもやっぱり剥製って怖いなあ。
生きていた時と全く違う形相で固められて。見ていて心臓がざわざわする。
見に行きますけどね。

旭山の小菅さん、お別れ記者会見
旭山動物園を全国一に…小菅名誉園長退任へ…2010-03-28
旭山動物園をここまで大きな存在に育てた名誉園長の小菅さんが、
3月末に退任、3月26日にお別れ会見を開いた。
4月末からの大型連休には、スマトラに象を見に出かける予定とのこと。
野生のホッキョクグマも見たいんだそうです。
見たことないというのは意外ですけど、園長さんなんてお忙しそうですもんね。

秋田県の男鹿水族館が、釧路から嫁（ツヨシかクルミ）を借り受ける代わりに、
海外からオスの子グマを購入して貸し出すよ！の件、難航中。
発育が悪く栄養剤を与えられているらしいのですが、元気に育ってほしいなあ。
別に日本に来なくてもいいから、長生きしてほしい。
