衝撃でちょっと言葉がないですね…
先日3ヶ月で名前が決定したばかりのフリッツ、生後4ヶ月にして亡くなってしまったようです。
フリッツはドイツ・ベルリンの公式サイトTierpark Berlinで11月3日に生まれたオスの子グマで、無邪気でかわいらしい映像で人気でした。
つくづく、生命が芽生えて、誕生し、成長して大人になるというのは奇跡の連続なのだなと思います。
今月中に一般公開の予定だったのに。
どうか安らかに。

On Monday evening, he succumbed to a liver inflammation. Vet Dr Andreas Pauly and keeper Jeane Falkenberg were tending to the sick little bear in the Tierpark’s clinic. At around 7:30 p.m. Fritz’s breathing became irregular and the vet administered a respiratory stimulant. Fritz was also given oxygen and a cardiac massage, but unfortunately none of those measures helped. At 8 p.m. he was declared dead.

血液検査で肝臓の異常が見つかり、抗生物質と鎮痛剤を投与されましたが体調は回復せず、月曜の午後8時頃に亡くなったということです。
動物園のディレクターさん、当然ですが落胆しています。
名前決定の時にとても嬉しそうな姿を見ているだけに胸が痛いですね…

元々フリッツは双子で生まれ、片方は出産直後に亡くなっていたようです。
月曜の午後7時30分頃に呼吸が不規則になり、その30分後に死亡したということです。
